2023 LCS Summer Split TSM LoL roster announcement before leaving LCS region
TSM LoL unveils their new LCS roster ahead of the 2023 LCS Summer Split, but everyone is talking about their potential move to the LPL LoL.
TSM LoL will not be playing in the LCS LoL next season. Multiple sources claim that the LPL LoL is the most likely destination. But it could be any other tier 1 region under the LoL Esports umbrella. TSM Reginald already came out with an announcement saying they have been working on this move for the last three years. At the same time, TSM revealed their 2023 LCS Summer roster, which is their last as a part of the LCS.
TSM Reginald announces TSM LoL leaving NA LCS LoL
It’s been a tough few years for TSM LCS and their fans. The team’s performance and failure at the 2022 League of Legends World Championship feels like the start of their downward spiral. But even looking past the 9 man sleep, the organization has been crumbling from the inside. All of the dedicated and hardworking individuals that helped TSM LoL become the premier NA LCS LoL brand are now gone. Multiple sources within the organization have reported workplace mobbing, which never leads to a productive working environment. The collapse of TSM FTX sponsorship felt like the avalanche that started going down the slippery slope.
The entire LoL esports industry has been reeling ever since the Covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing global recession became a reality. CLG has already sold off its LCS slot, and now, it looks like another founding NA LCS LoL team will be going out the door. TSM Reginald recently announced that TSM LoL has been working on moving to a different tier 1 region within the Riot Games LoL Esports ecosystem. Multiple sources claim that TSM LoL is looking to join the LPL LoL. The Chinese region has won 4 of the last 5 international tournaments, with the most recent being JDG LoL claiming the LoL Esports 2023 MSI. A fresh start in a much more competitive environment might be what TSM LoL needs, but at what cost?
NA LCS LoL Downfall
Sources claim TSM aren’t the only NA LCS LoL team looking to sell its slot and move to a different region. At the same time, it looks like Riot Games has no intention of investing in North America League of Legends anymore. Announcements and reassurances were made but actions speak louder than words. With tensions between the LCS Player Association and the LCS LoL heating up following the axing of the NACL LoL, the start of the 2023 LCS Summer Split is far from certain.
TSM LoL might be exiting a toxic environment they helped create with irrational spending on roster acquisitions, but will their fans follow them to the LPL LoL? Most of the aura surrounding TSM LoL is based on them being the premier NA LCS LoL organization. With Team Liquid LoL or formerly known as Team Curse being the only founding team left, how can NA LCS LoL fans remain invested?
TSM LoL roster for 2023 LCS Summer Split
But for the time being, TSM LoL will compete in the upcoming 2023 LCS Summer Split. The LoL LCS schedule is starting on June 1, 2023, just a week after the LoL Esports MSI 2023 Finals. But TSM wasn’t attending, and they have been making roster shuffles and coaching staff restructuring for the last two months. We already covered the news of head coach Reven joining alongside mid laner Ruby LoL. This overhaul signals that TSM LoL are moving away from superstar signings and focusing on team synergy.
The TSM LoL roster for the 2023 LCS Summer Split will consist of:
- Top laner Hauntzer LoL
- Jungler Bugi LoL
- Mid laners Ruby LoL and Fenix LoL
- ADC WildTurtle LoL
- Support Chime LoL

With no player being under 25 years old, the 2023 TSM LCS LoL roster won’t be short on leadership presence but rookie prospects are nowhere to be found. The individual player profiles might not be something special to write about, but the hope is that a solid tactical approach can create a productive team environment. That and team chemistry have been missing from NA LCS TSM LoL teams for a while. Fan anticipation and tournament aspirations hope for a legacy continuation, but that might not come with TSM LoL being a part of the NA LCS.
