LoL patch 13.10 brings us a completely new game. Riot Games have a nasty habit of completely reshaping the game midway through the season. Since there are so many changes happening, we’ve split them into seperate articles to create more extensive breakdowns. Here are the overall game changes, lethality item adjustments and top lane updates.

LoL Patch 13.10 Lethality Item Changes

Prowler’s Claw had to sacrifice its spot as a lethality Mythic item to make room for Youmuu’s Ghostblade. Prowler’s Claw will now be a legendary item in League of Legends, and it will lose 5 attack damage, 5 ability haste, and 3 lethality for it. The active has also been removed, and is instead being replaced by a trigger effect. Every time a user will deal damage within 3 seconds of exiting stealth, dashing or flashing, the next auto attack will deal bonus damage scaling of bonus AD. And if the user is a melee champion, that auto attack will slow the target for 99% for 0,5 seconds. 99% slow is basically a root and you can now imagine Talon with this item.

Duskblade of Draktharr is still a Mythic item for lethality champions. It will just a much different passive after lol patch 13.10 goes live. This item won’t slow anymore, since Prowler’s will be taking over that role. The item will now empower your abilities to deal up to 15% more damage depending on the target’s missing health. Also, scoring a takedown will not make you invisible, but will make you untargetable for the same 1,5 seconds. To balance this, Riot Games have added a 10-second cooldown on this passive, and using any action during this period will break stealth.

Youmuu’s Ghostblade is a Mythic item for lethality lol champions

Youmuu’s Ghostblade is undergoing major changes and will now become a Mythic item in League of Legends. The item will now cost 3100 gold instead of the previous 3000, while maintaining its build path. The major changes here are to its passive and active. The reworked Haunt passive will no longer give 40 bonus movement speed when out of combat. Now the item will grant 1 Spectral Shard stack for every 45 units traveled. The item can hold up to 100 Spectral Shards, for which it give 50 bonus movement speed and 10 to 20 bonus lethality depending on champion level.

If you damage an enemy champion, you will lose your Spectral Shard stacks after 4 seconds. This will be a great tool for roaming mid-lane assassins and perfectly fits the vision that the Ghostblade item is trying to portray. The active remains the same for the most part, except these Spectral Shards regenerate twice as fast during its 6-second duration. It will still give a 20% bonus movement speed and the ghosting effect that prevents unit collision. The new and reworked Mythic Youmuu’s Ghostblade will give 60 Attack Damage, 20 Ability Haste, and 18 Lethality. It’s Mythic Passive will also give 8 bonus attack damage for each Legendary item completed.

LoL Patch 13.10 Top Lane Item Changes

Radiant Virtue will no longer be a Mythic item. The item is losing 50 health points and 10 ability haste. But it will also cost 2700 gold, instead of the previous 3200. It will no longer be built out of a Kindlegem and a Ruby Crystal, but out of a Giant’s Belt. The passive is staying the same, except it will increase the user’s maximum health by 12,5% rather than 15%.

Abyssal Mask is one of the strongest items in season 13. And it looks like Riot Games are working on fixing that. The new version of Abyssal Mask will cost 2400 gold instead of 3000, but the build path is significantly changed. The item will now give 300 health instead of 550, the 300 mana it gave has been removed, and it will give 60 magic resist instead of 50. The Unmake passive remains the same but with the removal of Catalyst of Aeons component from the build path, the Eternity passive has been removed as well.

Force of Nature is having its cost increased by 100 gold and will now give 400 health instead of 350. The magic resist the item gives has been lowered from 70 to 60, but the total number of stacks the item has been increased from 6 to 10. The big change here is to the passive, where it would no longer 25% magic damage reduction and will now give 30 bonus magic resistance.

LoL Patch 13.10 Fighter Item Changes

Stridebreaker has also been underwhelming since they removed its dash active. That’s why it will now give 60 attack damage instead of 50. Sterak’s Gage is another item that has fallen out of the meta. That’s why they are now adding a new effect that will grant 25% increased size and 30% tenacity for 8 seconds after the Lifeline passive is triggered.

Hullbreaker will now build out of the Winged Moonplate component, on top of the current build path. The item will cost 300 gold instead of 2800, but is receiving 10 AD more and 5% movement speed. Goredrinker will now give 75 health points for each legendary item completed while having its cost reduced by 100 gold.

Maw of Malmortius is becoming 100 gold cheaper but the duration of the Lifeline passive has been cut in half. It will now last 2,5 seconds instead of the previous 5, bu the cooldown is getting reduced from 90 to 75 seconds as a compensation. However, the life steal increase the passive provides will now last until the end of combat.

LoL Patch 13.10 Trinity Force/ Divine Sunderer Changes

Trinity Force has been out of the meta for a few years now. Ever since the Mythic Item Update, one of the most famous items in LoL history has been forgotten. That’s why Riot Games is lowering its cost by 200 gold and buffing its stats. Trinity Force will now give 40 Attack Damage instead of 35 and 35% attack speed instead of the previous 30%. The duration of it’s Threefold Strike passive has also been increased to 5 seconds from the previous 3.

The Spellblade passive on Divine Sunderer has also been buffed. It will now do 160% of base AD instead of 125%. To compensate, the ratio of the target’s maximum health has been lowered from 6 and 3% for melee and range to 4 and 2.

LoL Patch 13.10 League of Legends Game Changes

The timer for when the Teleport summoner spell transforms to Unleashed has been reduced from 14 to 10 minutes. The towers will also get more resistances depending on how many enemy champions are nearby. At the same time, all champions will do a bit more damage to towers. Blast cones will now spawn in the jungle after the 9 minute mark, instead at the 5 minute mark.

The fountain will now restore 3,1% of maximum mana per tick rather than 2,1%. Homeguard will now also be activated at the 14 minute mark, instead of at 20 minutes.

Minion and vision contol changes on LoL Patch 13.10

Big and significant changes that are being overlooked are the ones to minions. For the first 14 minutes, side lane minions will be faster than mid lane minions in order for all 3 lanes to receive the wave at the same time. This is done because side lanes are longer than the mid lane by default, and this has allowed roaming to take place without severe punishment.  Also, minions will now ignore calls for help against enemy champions. This means that if the enemy is diving you under your tower, your minions will not start focusing on him.

Oracle Lens has undergone major changes that will definitely shake up professional play. The most important tool in denying vision is having its cooldown increased to 160 seconds. This is much higher than the 120 to 60 seconds it used to scale down depending on champion level. The duration has also been reduced from 10 to 6 seconds. But it can now hold up to 2 charges. So professional players will find a way to make good use of it. The radius has also been nerfed. It used to be 750 units at every point in the game, but will now scale up from 600 to 750 depending on champion level.
